Pet-friendly accommodation in Mossel Bay
More than half of our guests now travel with their dogs, and we have hosted the young, the old and the blind, plus one very confident pug called Master Yoda. Villa Palmera is pet-friendly by design, not just by tolerance: the garden is walled, the cottages open straight onto it, and the beach is down the road.
What makes us dog-friendly

Dog-friendly Mossel Bay
Diaz Beach is the classic dog beach with kilometres of hard sand at low tide. The St Blaize Trail along the cliffs is a wonderful on-lead walk from the lighthouse. Many of the cafes along the Point and in town have outside tables where dogs are welcome. Andrea will point you to the current favourites.
House rules for pets
Please let us know when you book so we can allocate the right unit. A small additional cleaning fee applies. Dogs should be house-trained and comfortable being left for short periods; we ask that they stay off the beds and are kept under control around the pool. Cats and other pets are considered on request.

The cottages, which open directly onto the walled garden. The Main Villa also works well for families travelling with a dog.
Are there dog-friendly beaches in Mossel Bay?
Yes. Diaz Beach is the best-known dog beach, and the St Blaize Trail is a beautiful on-lead cliff walk starting at the lighthouse, 2 km from the villa.
Can you look after my dog while I do an activity?
Often yes, by prior arrangement. Ask when you book.
