Villa Palmera offers three ways to stay in Mossel Bay: the whole 1906 Main Villa for groups of up to ten, two self-catering cottages for couples, or the Garden Room en-suite. Every option shares the pool, walled garden and solar power.
The Main Villa
The whole 1906 house: three bedrooms, a loft suite, open-plan living, pool and garden. Sleeps 10.
Lemon Cottage
Self-catering cottage at the end of the walled garden with kitchenette, en-suite and patio doors to the pool.
Olive Cottage
Self-catering cottage with kitchenette, en-suite and a private entrance onto the pool terrace.
The Garden Room
Light, airy king-bed en-suite with period patio doors onto lawn and lavender. Tea and coffee facilities.
Which stay suits you?
The Main Villa sleeps up to ten across three bedrooms and a loft, with open-plan living, a proper dining table and the pool and braai area at the door. It is the choice for families, reunions and small groups who want to be together under one roof.
The cottages are for couples and solo travellers. Lemon Cottage and Olive Cottage are self-catering with kitchenettes; the Garden Room is a king-bed en-suite with tea and coffee facilities. Each has a separate entrance and its own patio.
Whichever you choose, the facilities are shared: the solar-powered house (no load shedding), the walled garden, the pool, the gazebo and fire pit, and secure parking. And whichever you choose, your dog is welcome by arrangement - see our pet-friendly page.

Is Villa Palmera a guesthouse or self-catering?
Both. The cottages are self-catering with kitchenettes. The Main Villa has a full kitchen and is let as a whole house. Breakfast baskets and local recommendations are available on request.
How far is Villa Palmera from the beach?
Santos Beach is 1.4 km away, an easy walk or a three-minute drive. The Point and the St Blaize tidal pool are about 2 km away.
Is there load shedding?
No. The villa runs on solar power with battery backup, so lights, WiFi and the kettle keep working during outages. It is a favourite for remote workers for exactly this reason.
