Boutique Accommodation in Mossel Bay with a Purpose

Villa Palmera is a beautifully restored 1906 stone villa in Linkside, Mossel Bay — offering boutique guesthouse rooms and self-catering cottages with a pool, walled garden and solar power. Every stay gives something back through iOcean Trust.

A guesthouse in Mossel Bay that feels like a home, because it is one

Villa Palmera is a 1906 stone villa in Linkside, the quiet suburb on the rise above Mossel Bay harbour. Andrea restored it, lives in it, and runs it the way she learned to over thirty years in travel: with the right recommendation, the operator she trusts, and a daily check-in that stops when you would rather be left alone.

The house runs on solar power, so load shedding never touches the WiFi, the kettle or a video call. The garden is walled, the pool catches the afternoon sun, and the sea is down the hill. Dogs are welcome. And a portion of every night you stay goes to iOcean Trust, the youth and ocean trust Andrea co-founded here.

Your stay puts a Mossel Bay teenager in the sea for the first time

Most young people in Mossel Bay grow up beside an ocean they have never swum in. iOcean Trust, co-founded by Andrea in 2023, teaches them to swim, takes them sailing and paddling, trains marine guides and runs leadership courses. Villa Palmera gives a portion of every booking to the trust. It is built into the rate, not added to it.

What an amazing host Andrea! We had a last-minute business trip and she was very friendly and offered us accommodation. Villa Palmera is a clean, friendly and safe go-to place. Tip: book in advance - you snooze, you lose.

Our host Andrea was amazing! We got upgraded from the Garden Room to the main house, all to ourselves, and what a joy it was. Andrea checked in with us every day and gave us recommendations on where to eat. The decor, cleanliness, everything was top notch. Lovely garden and pool. Do not think twice about booking here.
